Chalon Elders Scholarship Fund

The Chalon Elders and Council have established a scholarship fund with an objective of helping members of the Chalon tribe and other indigenous youth achieve their academic goals through higher education.
Listed below are the guidelines, eligibility requirements and procedures for submitting an application.


  • Scholarships are awarded for (1) one academic year and are not automatically renewable. {Note: You are encouraged to reapply for additional scholarship awards.}
  • Funds are intended for academic use: (e.g. for tuition, books, and school supplies).
  • The Chalon Elder Scholarship Committee serves as the selection board.


  • Be of Native American lineage/descent.
  • Attending High school, Jr. College, College or vocational or trade school.
  • GPA of 2.5 or better (based on a 4.0 scale) in their last year of education.
  • 500-word essay on being Native American and your future plans and educational goals.

Citizenship Committee Schedule Update

Chalon Indian Nation Citizenship Committee will be meeting every 2nd Saturday of the month starting November, 11/2017 excluding December due to Holidays. The office will be open 8 am to 5 pm on every 2nd Saturday.
