IPL 2024 will begin on March 22 and last until the end of May.
It has been officially revealed the schedule for the new season of the show following the announcement of the dates for India’s general elections by the Election Commission of India.
On February 22, the BCCI announced the fixtures for the upcoming IPL 2024 season in the presence of ICC CEO Geoff Allardyce as well as BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, who was present at the event.
The curtain raiser of the season will feature a blockbuster match between the reigning champions Chennai Super Kings and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M.A. Chennai Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, which will be the venue for the match.
Due to the upcoming general elections in India in April and May, the BCCI have released the fixtures for the first 21 matches which will be played during the first 15 days of the tournament, which will begin on April 6.
