The Prime Minister’s Scholarship Award Program for Young Achievers in India (YASASVI) is a government initiative aimed at providing scholarships to eligible students from OBC, Nomadic, semi-Nomadic tribes, and DNT categories. Scholarships are available for students in the 9th and 11th grades, with selection based on merit.

Key Details of the PM YASASVI Scheme 2024:

Purpose: The scheme, launched by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, aims to support economically disadvantaged students in their educational pursuits.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Residency: Must be a permanent resident of India.
  2. Categories: Open to students from OBC, EBC, DNT SAR/NT/SNT categories.
  3. Academic Requirement: Must have completed the 8th grade and be preparing for 10th grade exams in 2023.
  4. Parental Income: The annual income of parents should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh.
  5. Age: Applicants for 9th grade must be born between April 1, 2004, and March 31, 2008. Applicants for 11th grade must be born between April 1, 2004, and March 31, 2008.
  6. Inclusivity: Open to all genders.

Benefits:

  • Financial Support: Rs. 75,000 per year for 9th-grade students and Rs. 125,000 for 11th-grade students.

  3. Create an account and note down the system-generated Application Number.
  4. Log in using your application number and password.
  5. Complete and submit the YASASVI test registration form.
  6. Keep a copy of the registration page for future reference.
